Alice Pauline Harvey Knob and Family:
Alice was born on August 17, 1927 in Arkalon, Kansas. She graduated from high school at the are of 15 and went to work, first at the County Court House and then as a waitress at the Couhtry Club. She returned to Delta for a visit in, 1943 and decided to, stay on. Eventually, she went to work as a secretary for the R.W. Stephans Company. In November 1947, Alice and Andrew Knob were married and they settled down to a life on their farms. Over the years, they have raised onions, beans, barley, corn and other products. Andy has just recently retired and they have turned the active management of the farm over to their son, Phillip. Alice has been involved in many activities over the years, particularly those Involving her children. She and her family have also remodeled and sold four homes in the past few years, with Alice doing most of the design and paper work. Alice and Andy's children were all born in Delta.
Phillip Steven Knob was born on December 16, 1947. He attended Conception Seminary in Missouri for two years and C.U. for two years with a degree in business . In 1978, Phil rented the farm from his father and took over the active management. Phil is an active worker in his church and he just recently adopted a son. James McDonald Knob was born on October 25, 1965 in Escondido, California.
Sheryl Kateryn Knob Christie was born on March 30, 1952 at the family home. She attended the American Beauty College and, after graduation, purchased a small beauty shop in Delta. She was in this business until 1977. She now has a small ice cream shop on the main street of Delta. Sherry is married to Chuck Christie, a brick mason- and they are the parents of Brandon Christie who was born in October, 1978 in Delta.
Bonnie Beth Knob was born on November 12, 1954. She was stillborn. Patrick Joseph Knob was born on September 1, 1958. He was an outstanding athlete at Delta High School and he attended Mesa College on a wrestling scholarship. He enjoyed art and made various articles of furniture. Pat was fatally injured in a car accident in Grand Junction and he passed away on August 27, 1977. David Andrew Knob was born-on February 10, 1961 in Delta& Dave is an outstanding athlete and he is currently a senior in high school. After graduation, he will attend college and major in Industrial Arts with his long range goal a teaching coaching career.
